It’s Been Awhile

Since moving to Denmark last September, I have only written on this blog once. There is no particular reason why I stopped writing but putting my thoughts down into blog posts has seemed rather difficult lately- due to time and a lack of inspiration.

School has taken the large majority of my time. There seems to never ending parade of lectures, assignments, classes and exams filling my to-do list. My average schedule is 3 classes per week with about a hundred pages to read and presentations and group projects. However, my first year of a Masters is coming to a close. What have I learned? This is a topic that could take an entire book to fill.

I have also changed in the last year. The topics that I wrote about in Miss Bolongaro are fun and lighthearted. I smile whenever I read them and it was a pleasure. Yet my identity as a writer is evolving and so it is time for this blog to undergo a makeover. I am in the process of determining which direction it will go in. I will update you, loyal readers, as soon as I know.

After leaving my family yesterday at the bus depot in Penticton, I am sitting in the Vancouver airport waiting for my flight to Paris. I am flying via Montreal and I am excited to begin my next big adventure in Europe. However, no matter how many times I leave, it never gets easier.
