One of my childhood dreams was to touch each major ocean or sea in the world. In the past few years, my travels have taken me from North America to Africa to Europe, but I have never touched the Atlantic Ocean. I have flewn over it 5 times in the past 5 years. To push this childhood dream forward, I have bought myself a ticket to Porto, Portugal.
Porto is a beautiful seaside city and one of Portugal’s top destinations. There are beaches for kilometres and it is usually sunny. It just so happened to be the cheapest destination from Marseille, so for 60 euros, I am off to explore Europe’s Atlantic coastline. I will not be adventuring alone; my friend Anohki and I will be spending most of April travelling together. She is such an awesome person, and I am sure we will make excellent travel partners in crime.
We actually bought these tickets on a whim. I was over at Anohki’s and she suggested we do some travelling together. I had been considering visiting Portugal at some point during my stay in France and I randomly suggested it to her. We looked up ticket prices and found an excellent deal, so we bought the tickets on the spot. It was so exhilarating, and I can’t wait for our trip.
